Eliminate Tedious Photoshop/Lightroom Adjustments By NOT Letting Your Camera Decide This For You

Auto white balance is the devil. I hate after a photo shoot when I not only have to spend time culling my images but I have to go through and make sure the colors are right in each and every one.

If I have to adjust colors in Lightroom I like to batch process a set of images that were taken under the same lighting conditions. If I use auto white balance one photo taken under a certain lighting condition can wind up completely different then another image taken under the exact same lighting conditions. One way to correct this would be to select a certain white balance light shade for example. Why not just get the colors accurate instead of having to do much adjusting at all?
