Single Light Photo Recipe For An In-Camera Special Effect

Single-Light-Photo-Recipe

For this recipe Gavin Hoey over at Adorama uses the Canon Speedlite 580EX II Flash for Canon.

You don’t need to spend $$$ on that flash if you don’t already have one though. You could pick up the YONGNUO YN600EX-RT on Amazon for only $126.00. I have  a complete review of this Flash in an article I posted recently called “Do You Think Flash Photography Is Too Expensive?” Even though those flashes are for Canon there are a variety of the Yongnou Nikon Flashes on Amazon also.

For the camera he’s using the Canon 60D with a 24-105 f4 L lens. What’s the secret ingredient? Flour! Which is available super cheap at your local grocery store!

Gavin also cover post processing but I’m more impressed with what happens in camera as opposed to his Photoshop work after the fact. I may have taken a different approach personally
