It took me a while to get excited about urban landscapes. I love nature and I’ve always preferred taking photos of beautiful natural places around me. Somehow I couldn’t get that same feeling when I was shooting urban views.
It wasn’t until quite recently that I realized what was wrong. I was simply trying to view things exactly the same way as I was with natural landscape photography.
While some of these tips apply to both, there are certain things you need to do differently when taking urban landscapes.
For me, following this advice has been really helpful. I’ve been able to capture much more interesting images and people have noticed my work on a larger scale.
