Your Photography Doesn't Matter - How To Create Meaningful Work

Ted Forbes published a really interesting video that should make every photographer think about their work and what they want to represent.

And he is right. Who cares if you just captured the best image ever? Photography these days seems to have become a popularity contest where whoever gets the most likes and shares, wins. Why not focus more on creating images that really matter? And how does one do that? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

My work is simple, but I use it to inspire my network of friends and acquaintances to get out and explore the world around them. I focus on nature and parks to inspire people to break free from their routines (and screens) and explore the natural world around then. I feel that I have been successful because many people have told me they planned trips because of my photos.

I like what you’re saying and I think I’ve been pursuing that work that matters and I’ve been done some work that matters.
My only wish for this video is that you didnt go too deep on why the important work matters. I mean what happen if there’s no work that matters; what is the function of that work you should be aiming for.
