Professional photographer Gavin Hoey is using a technique called panning to capture cyclists in Amsterdam. He’s taking these shots with a Canon EOS 60D and a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens┬ábut you can use a prime or basically any lens available to do this. When you’ve tried this technique a few times and learned how to adjust your shutter speed correctly, it’s easy to start using┬ápanning in all kinds of creative ways.

Gavin is also giving you great tips on how to post-process your image in Camera Raw.
