Some people justify using the AWB by not having time to adjust it themselves in between different situations.
I don’t buy it – you could at least use the white balance pre-settings every digital camera has. But here are 2 ways of getting it perfectly correct without a hassle. Besides, setting the correct white balance by using a grey card is a piece of cake.
