Photographer Robert Hall is taking portraits outdoors and using a single monolight setup.
When you’re working with both natural daylight and an artificial one, you might get different shades of colors in your images, sometimes even two different color tones in one image. This is going to give you a hard time post processing the portraits, with a lot of color correcting. Watch how Robert is using gels to balance the color in his shots. You’ll see several with and without gel examples, to get an idea of how much it will affect your images.
