Take This Away And You’ll Never Become More Than An Enthusiastic Amateur
When I got my first DSLR, I had literally no plans for photography at all. I knew I wanted to take pictures of all those magnificent places I loved, but that was it.
After a while photography had swept me off my feet. All I ever wanted to do was take more photos, find new angles, go to strange places and show everyone what I had found and how I had captured it.
When it became such a dear hobby, I finally started thinking about photography as a career. I remember thinking how awesome it would be to do something you absolutely love for a living. But even though I (aimlessly) took tons of photos every day, I wasn’t getting better. Well, of course there was improvement, but I wasn’t good enough to turn it into a business. For a while I couldn’t understand why I wasn’t making enough progress.
