When I was buying my first camera lenses that were not kit lenses included with my DSLR I spent hours scouring the Internet looking at articles.

I finally came to the conclusion that the first two lenses I should buy were prime lenses. The first lens I purchased was the Nifty Fifty. The second lens I purchased was an 85mm F1.8.
