Taking photos of people is not at all an easy task and you need a lot of practice to capture truly genuine portraits.
I remember when I first started I was so afraid of photographing people – and that, of course, made the photos even worse.
You need to learn how to make your clients comfortable and relaxed, and if you yourself are nervous it’s never going to work.
Over the years I’ve learned to guide my clients better, giving them instructions on posing and how to bring out their best features. But all that stuff is still going to leave you with a so-so image, if you don’t get this one thing right.
