He gives you tips on what aperture to use and how to use your camera’s metering system to make sure your exposure is perfect for the shot. Besides that he is using a Hoya 62mm FLW Fluorescent Multi Coated FLW filter on the Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6G AF Telephoto Zoom Nikkor lens. It makes an incredible difference to the colors of the image and saves you from a lot of post-processing.
