The World's First 5 Axis Image Stabilization Camera Released To The US

The 5 Axis Image Stabilization Of The New Sony A7 II is promising Razor Sharp hand held photos and video. It’s promises to increase hand held camera shake on photos by 4.5 steps of shutter speed. Earlier this week I posted about the announcement of the camera in Japan. Sony has just announced the A7 II will be available in the US starting December 9th.

It can shoot at 5 frames per second with AF tracking, records full 1080p HD video at 60p, 50p, 25p, and 24p and has an ISO range of ISO 100 to ISO 25,600, with an expanded option down to ISO 50.

While most of the details and specifications on this compact system camera were revealed during the A7 II announcement in Japan on November 20th, Sony today announced U.S. pricing and availability for this model. The good news for holiday shoppers is that the Sony A7 II will go on sale in the U.S. on December 9, 2014 for $1,700 (body only), or as a kit with the FE 28-70mm F3.5 – F5.6 OSS zoom lens (model SEL2870) for $2,000.
