(Warning- Photos of corpses) Today is Dia de Los Muertos- Day of the dead. So I thought I would commemorate the day with this nifty little set of images. If you think it’s hard being a modern photographer think about what it must’ve been like back in the Victorian era.
It seems way back then that loved ones got into the habit of photographing the dead. Here are some Victorian images depicting deceased family members posing with loved ones. All I can say is this is really creepy.
Sometimes, photographers would try to make it appear like the dead person was sleeping.
